I was one of three Australians invite to participate in this symposium through a presentation and a poetry reading. The symposium abstract reads:
In the light of the shadows of fanaticism and bigotry looming large over the world and manifesting itself, most recently, in the attack on the well known writer, Salman Rushdie, The Hearth Within organized a poetry reading session of Indian and Australian poets titled 'A Home in Poetry' on the 4th of September, 11:00 am IST with the idea to come together and share how poetry remains a valuable home for us through and despite distances and differences.
