Academic Program Leader. Provided leadership to ensure that University and Faculty quality assurance processes were implemented and monitored; Acted as a supervisor for Faculty members of the Academic Program Area and worked with other level D and E faculty to ensure effective management of academic staff in the Faculty; Coordinated the attendance of members of the program area at University and Faculty marketing and promotion activities; Worked with the Associate Dean Education (ADE) to ensure that there was an appropriate mix of units and courses within the program area and that student pathways exist between courses; Monitored the distribution of staff expertise and resources within the program area; Supported the ADE to manage the approval of the Unit Outlines for all units offered by the program area (in consultation with the Academic Programs Office and unit convenor); Conducted Academic Program Area meetings to discuss/resolve academic and teaching support issues; Along with other Academic program Leaders, worked with the ADE to support all aspects of course design, staffing, evaluation and continuous improvement.| Period | 1 Jan 2013 → 3 Jan 2014 |
