Based on a submission from the News and Media Research Centre to the Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters for the 2019 federal election, I was invited to give evidence about news consumption and the political orientation of news consumers drawn from the Digital News report Australia 2019. Dr Mike Jensen also gave evidence about foreign interference based on Twitter analysis during the election campaign.
