Dr Abu Barkat Ullah served as an external examiner for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) thesis titled “Novel Ransomware Detection Techniques Using Incremental Learning” at Charles Sturt University in 2025.
The doctoral research investigated advanced ransomware detection approaches using incremental learning techniques, contributing to adaptive and resilient cyber security defence mechanisms.
In this capacity, Dr Barkat Ullah provided an independent expert evaluation of the doctoral research, submitted a formal examination report, and contributed to maintaining national standards of research excellence in cyber security and artificial intelligence-driven threat detection.
