I was invited as a guest speaker at the inaugural ISC2 Canberra Chapter event, where I delivered a keynote presentation titled “Bolstering the Cyber Security of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)” alongside Prof. Uwe Dulleck (Executive Dean, Faculty of Business, Government and Law, University of Canberra).
In my presentation, I discussed the growing cyber threat landscape facing SMEs and presented research outcomes from the Project DFNDR initiative, a research program aimed at strengthening the cybersecurity of defence and critical infrastructure SMEs. The talk highlighted the application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning-based threat detection, threat intelligence analytics, and Security Operations Centre (SOC) strategies to improve cyber resilience.
The event marked the official launch of the ISC2 Canberra Chapter and brought together cybersecurity professionals, researchers, and industry leaders to discuss emerging cyber threats and strengthen regional cybersecurity capability.
