Description
The International Beliefs and Values Institute (IBAVI) is a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization that addresses real-world issues of conflict resolution, global education, human rights, religious and cultural understanding, and sustainability through innovative and interdisciplinary scholarship, education, and service. The mission of the International Beliefs and Values Institute (IBAVI) is to explore beliefs and values and how they influence actions, policies, and practices around the world. Our efforts promote conflict resolution, global education, human rights, religious and cultural understanding, and sustainability. The mission and concomitant activities of the IBAVI are deliberately pluralistic, critically-minded, and self-reflective, grounded in sound scholarship, and informed by reasoned dialogue. Working with colleagues, groups, institutions, and organizations around the world, the IBAVI addresses these issues through interdisciplinary research, education, practice, and professional exchange.
In 2022, the University of Canberra, became the first Australian IBAVI partner, joining other institutional chapters in Chile, England, India, Japan, Spain, Sweden, and the USA. The Faculty of Education is proud to have facilitated this important relationship. Co-directorship by listed persons is held at the UC chapter level.
