Description
ACMA workshop on ‘Measuring the Availability of Local News in Australia’, as part of the ACMA’s broader News Project.
The workshop is being held next Monday, 23 September, between 2-4pm at the ACMA Canberra offices in Belconnen (Red Building, Benjamin Offices, Chan Street, Belconnen ACT).
The session will be attended by ACMA Authority Members, staff from both the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and the Department of Communications and the Arts, and a number of academics in the field. The purpose of the workshop will be to discuss the definition of ‘local’, and the ways in which the ACMA could seek to measure the availability of local news as part of its design of a ‘measurement framework’ for the Australian news market.
