Description
In the face of rising adolescent health concerns, schoolyards play a crucial role in helping students manage stress during the school day. But do school ground designs effectively support the diverse and evolving needs of adolescents at a time of rapid social, physical and emotional change? This presentation addresses the types of schoolyards we currently have, want, and need, based on insights from schoolyard creators, managers, and students. Over three years of evidence is leveraged to identify factors influencing schoolyard quality and to explore methods of capturing student preferences in ways that support positive outdoor experiences.Period | 30 Oct 2024 |
