I provided expert commentary to WIN News on the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) Annual Cyber Threat Report 2024–2025. The interview focused on the increasing scale, complexity, and financial impact of cybercrime in Australia.
During the interview, I discussed key findings from the report, including the growing cost of cybercrime for both businesses and individuals, and the increasing sophistication of cyber threats driven by automation and artificial intelligence. I highlighted the importance of cyber security education, workforce development, and collaboration between government, industry, and academia to strengthen national cyber resilience.
This media engagement contributed to public awareness of cyber security risks and the importance of proactive cyber defence strategies, supporting the University of Canberra’s role in providing expert insights on emerging cyber threats.
