I was appointed as Head of Research and Associate Professor in E-Mental Health, Institute of Clinical Research, University of Southern Denmark, in the only telepsychiatry service in the country, a move I made from School of Health, University of New England, Armidale NSW, Australia. My appointment came about because Denmark has been watching Australia's lead in e-mental health generally, and Australia is seen as a significant international leader in this movement. This is a groundbreaking appointment on a number of levels.
