Social and economic vulnerability can significantly shape how communities experience and recover from disasters.

Description

The RiVA (Risks, Vulnerabilities & Assets) Mapping Tool & Data Dashboard brings together mapped and localised data to help community organisations, governments and local partners better understand these risks — and plan accordingly.

RiVA can help identify areas of higher vulnerability, map local service capacity and support better collaboration across the social services sector.
The prototype currently includes data for seven NSW LGAs: Hawkesbury City, Bega Valley, Snowy Monaro, Eurobodalla, Kyogle, Lismore and Richmond Valley.

Better data helps communities prepare, respond and recover more effectively.

The RiVA Mapping Tool & Data Dashboard is funded by the Australian Government and the NSW Government.
