Teaching someone to become a nurse used to be done on the job in teaching hospitals but that's all changed with much of the teaching happening at Universities with some fantastic simulation technology and wonderful educators.
One of these is Marjorie. At 81 years of age she's been going into the University for several years to teach students about empathy, intimate care and how to read and understand a patient's needs and vulnerability. She came into the ABC Radio Canberra studios and then part way, took off her silicon mask to reveal the nurse educator beneath, Dr Jane Frost, Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of Canberra.
