I am a PhD student at the University of Canberra, researching the critical role of nurses in responding to heat-related illness, a growing challenge in the era of climate change. My work bridges clinical practice, education, and sustainability, highlighting why reducing emissions in healthcare is both an environmental and ethical imperative.
As a Nurse Lecturer at the University of Canberra, I combine academic leadership with frontline experience. I am a Global Nurse Leadership Institute (GNLI) scholar through the International Council of Nurses, and previously served as a Board Director for the Australian College of Nursing (ACN) for four years. My clinical background spans Neuroscience and Infectious Diseases, and I contributed to the Health Emergency Operations Centre during COVID 19.
Beyond academia and clinical practice, I am also a Life and Success Coach, supporting healthcare professionals to pursue their dreams and discover their life’s purpose. I am passionate about serving the community, advancing healthcare education, and championing the importance of essential care. Looking ahead, my future goal is to become a politician, where I can amplify the voice of nurses, advocate for sustainable healthcare, and influence policy to protect both people and the planet.
I actively promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Planetary Health, and Universal Healthcare, and I am proud to be a nurse committed to inspiring others through a professional and united voice.
Interested in connecting with healthcare leaders, educators, researchers, policymakers, and community advocates who share a vision for sustainable, people centred healthcare and social change.
