Biography

Dr Elise Furlan is an ARC DECRA Fellow at the University of Canberra, Australia. Her research specialises in advancing molecular genetics to address key ecological challenges. She is currently developing techniques to extract population genetic data from environmental DNA (eDNA) samples. 

Elise is committed to translating cutting-edge research into real-world conservation outcomes and therefore actively collaborates with government agencies and industry partners to ensure her work drives meaningful environmental management and policy advancements.
