Biography

Dr Jaya Sowjanya Siddireddy is an education and research focused academic in the discipline of Optometry and Vision Science at University of Canberra, Australia. Jaya engages in delivering didactic and clinical training for units in Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Optometry programs. She is actively involved in research focused on ocular surface and anterior eye health during contact lens wear. She is also a member of Clinical Research Rehabilitation and Translational group in Faculty of Health, University of Canberra.

Jaya received her Doctorate (PhD) in Optometry from the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney) in 2018. She then worked as Post-Doctoral Researcher (2018-2022) at UNSW Sydney and Macquarie University in collaboration with Minomic International Ltd, engaging in diverse clinical research projects with focus on safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products and validation of diagnostic tests. Jaya aspires to make impactful contributions to the field of eyecare through research and teaching.
