Biography
Katie completed a Bachelor of Science in Immunology and Microbiology at the Australian National University and an Honours degree (Class 1) in Sport Studies at the University of Canberra (UC) where she investigated the psychological and physiological effects of vigorous exercise on first responders with post-traumatic stress disorder. Following on, Katie completed her PhD in Exercise Science at UC, focusing on the effects of physical activity and cardiometabolic risk factors on children's autonomic nervous system regulation. Currently, Katie is employed as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow in the UC Health Research Institute where she is a member of the Mental Health Policy Unit.
