Biography

Marcos Canales is a highly skilled Hydraulic Engineer from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile (PUC), with a dual PhD candidacy at PUC and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Canberra (UC), Marcos specialises in integrating Agent-Based Modelling, computational social science, scientific computing, and hydrological modelling to address complex challenges in water regulation and resource management. With extensive experience on government-funded projects (DGA, CORFO), Marcos has pioneered decision-support systems through his innovative research, offering valuable insights that have shaped policy and regulatory frameworks.
