Biography
Dr. Natasha Jojo (PhD, MSc (Nsg), BSc(N), Grad Cert(N), RN) is an Assistant Professor and International Convener for Nursing Students in the Faculty of Health at the University of Canberra. With a strong academic foundation in mental health, Dr. Natasha has been deeply involved in research initiatives centered on individuals with intellectual disabilities. She has developed and evaluated programs for children with intellectual disabilities and their parents, teachers, and caregivers. Her work also includes forensic mental health and research in teaching and learning to enhance the international student experience. Outside of academia, Dr. Natasha is actively engaged with several professional nursing organizations, including the Australian College of Nursing, the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses, ASID (Australasian Society for Intellectual Disability), IASSIDD (International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities), and the Professional Association of Nurses in Developmental Disability Australia (PANDDA), where she contributes to discussions on advancements and challenges in the nursing field.
