Biography

Prue Robson is a Lecturer in Communication and Media and the Discipline Lead for the Corporate and Public Communication degree at the University of Canberra, where she is also a PhD Candidate.
 
Prue's research interests include public relations, place communication, stakeholder engagement, and social media. She is specifically interested in applying public relations theory and practice to places, and her doctoral research examines how effective place image communications are at having prospective residents view a place as desirable to live. Her research has been published in Public Relations Review, PRism and the Asia Pacific Public Relations Journal.
 
Prue has taught public relations and strategic communication to undergraduates since 2009 and has twice been awarded the Faculty of Arts & Design Teaching Innovation Award. Her pedagogy focuses on using technology, authentic assessment, and experiential learning to improve student engagement and graduate outcomes.
