Dr. Rui Liu has over-15-year research experience (five years in Australia and about 10 years in China) in conducting leading-edge geoscience, machine learning, deep learning, etc, on ecological assessment, flood risk evaluation and water resource management under extreme climates. His internationally recognized achievements and outstanding performance can be best verified by his key roles in several international projects (> AUD 100.0 M), such as The Sustainable Development Investment Portfolio (SDIP), The Australian Coal Industry's Research Program (ACARP), The Living Murray (TLM), and over 7 Chinese projects (>¥7.0 M), as well as over 30 highly cited international publications. His multiple tools are used by global professional councils. He has also been invited to present at international conferences and reviewers for international top journals.
