Tauel Harper is a researcher in the area of public communication who works in Corporate and Public Communication at the University of Canberra. His work has consistently engaged with the relationship between technology and public virtue and has included deep analysis of how to deal with wicked problems such as online misogyny and the proliferation of misinformation.
Tauel has authored two books Democracy in the Age of New Media: the politics of the spectacle and Media After Deleuze. His research projects include work on public attitudes toward COVID health initiatives and attempts to improve the clasification systems of games. He continues to lead research projects in areas such as games, big data, AI, journalism and political communication.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
