Biography
After careers in accounting, finance and then outdoor education, Tracey joined the world of academia where she has taught in management, human resources, outdoor education and now events and tourism.
Tracey's teaching is informed by her industry eperience and the nexus between theory and real world issues. This interest in real world issues is reflected in her research, and roles with the International Snowsport Safety Society and the NSW National Parks and Wildlife.
Research interests
Drawing upon her industry background, Tracey's research interests are in areas such as moutain tourism, snowsport safety, risk management, mega sport event volunteer motivations and management, accessibility for all and active healthy ageing.
Tracey's research has applied methods across the spectrum including an autoethnography in her PhD to large scale online surveys of Olympic and Paralympic volunteers.
