Biography
Dr Lewis is a Clinical Psychologist and academic at the University of Canberra where she specialises in the treatment of people with body image issues and eating disorders. She runs a private Clinical Psychology Practice in Canberra. She regularly speaks to the media for the University of Canberra on clinical psychology related topics and supervises Honours, Masters and PhD students. Dr Lewis has written two self help books (Positive Bodies: Loving The Skin You’re In; No Body’s Perfect) to help children, young people and adults who experience body image issues. She has just published her third book, through Australian Academic Press, called, Eating Disorders. A Practitioner's Guide to Psychological Care. This book aims to assist health professionals and traineses, including students, working with people with eating disorders.
