Biography

Dr. Zahid Hussain is a lecturer in Pharmacy and a registered Australian pharmacist with a wide range of experience in academia, community, and hospital settings in Australia and overseas. Zahid completed his PhD from the University of Tasmania in 2019 which focused on optimal drug dosing strategies in obese surgical patients. He has several publications in prestigious journals of Medicine, Surgery, and Anaesthesia.

Zahid has coordinated several units of the Bachelor of Pharmacy and Masters of Pharmacy, and taught in multiple other units within the  Bachelor of Optometry, Bachelor of Forensic Science, and Bachelor of Health Science degrees. He uses the flipped classroom and blended learning teaching methodologies in his teaching.
