The ACEL Fellowship is peer-nominated and rigorous. It represents judgment by fellow educational leaders that an individual’s work has genuinely elevated the sector.
A central criterion is that the recipient's leadership has driven systemic, long-term improvement. It honours work that influences practice, research, or policy at a system, state, national, or international level.
Recipients are conferred the right to use the post-nominal FACEL (or FACEL [ACT] for branch awards), signifying their standing as a Fellow of the Council.
