Winner of the Innovation in Research Award in 2024, for pioneering work on the use of drones and machine learning techniques for monitoring the response of floodplain and wetland vegetation to different watering conditions. This work has generated cross Faculty collaboration, considerable research income, high quality publications and on-ground impact as agencies and programs adopt the developed approaches.
