Description

Learning by Doing: Building Deliberative Capacity in Australian Schools: This interdisciplinary project brings together expertise from three faculties to address a pressing challenge at the intersection of civic education and democracy. It examines how deliberation can be meaningfully integrated into Years 11–12 learning and will develop the first digital, interactive toolkit to support the teaching and learning of deliberative engagement in Australian schools. Co-designed with educators and students, the toolkit aims to build students' deliberative capacity through practical, classroom-based learning. The project was awarded $50,000 through the Deputy Vice-Chancellor's Seed Funding Scheme following a competitive selection process.
