Description
Aquatic monitoring program of the effects of the Dargues mine on the Majors Creek Catchment. The project will involve the following activities:
Field data collection (spring 2022 and autumn 2023)
o Aquatic monitoring at eight sites: Fish monitoring (backpack electrofishing and bait traps), and AUSRVAS Macroinvertebrates assessment
o Stygofauna at four bore sites
Laboratory processing of macroinvertebrate samples
Data analysis (including QA/QC protocols)
Reporting
o Spring 2022 Assessment
o Autumn 2023 Assessment
