Description

People with cancer undergoing chemotherapy find it difficult to adhere to important physical activity guidelines. We have found that when clinicians measure physical activity using wearable activity trackers, this simple intervention can improve physical activity levels in physically inactive individuals with and without chronic disease. Here we will find if physical activity measurement within cancer care is successful, increasing activity levels of people undergoing chemotherapy to help manage side effects and reduce their risk of cancer recurrence and premature death.
