Project Details

Description

Biting arthropods represent a worldwide biosecurity issue. In particular, mosquitoes (Diptera: Culicidae) are an important vector for many tropical diseases, such as Aedes aegypti (Dengue fever) and Anopheles ssp. (malaria). In Australia, over 30 mosquito species transmit viruses that cause disease in both humans and production animals.
