Description
In Media and Communication, as in other production-based professional education, authentic tasks are the basis of learning through assessment. Media production in the real world is almost always a collaborative process. Hence, authentic assessment tasks require students to collaborate in groups. This project asked the question, How can teachers and students co-construct authentic group work assessment tasks in Media and Communication subjects so as to be both developmental and summative, and to align learning outcomes, assessment criteria and the assessment product?
