Description
The Economic Development Division (EDD) in the ACT Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development sought to better understand the nature of skills and workforce shortages within the ACT and the key barriers to addressing such challenges. In partnership with the EDD, The University of Canberra implemented a multi-phase, mixed methods research strategy to (1) identify key issues impacting on skills and the ACT workforce, and (2) offer recommendations to overcome barriers identified. = The overarching question that guided this research was:
In what field(s) is the ACT experiencing or likely to experience workforce shortages, and what are the barriers to attracting workers in demand to the ACT?
