Comprehensive Performance Analysis of a Pre-commercial Balancing Mat

The industry partner has developed a balance mat that could be used in the identification/measurement of postural sway in human subjects with potential utility in clinical and diagnostic settings. The proposed research will evaluate the performance of the pre-commercial balance mat prototype. The proposed research will develop a test suite (hardware/software) and a series of human studies to examine the accuracy, reliability, and repeatability of the prototype. Based on the results, the accuracy, variability, and repeatability of the balance mat will be assessed and the results will be disseminated in an independent comprehensive report.
