Project Details
Description
The Lachlan Flow MER team have been working closely with the Aboriginal Water Committee to the
Lachlan, and have appointed five of their members on casual contracts at UC to perform as
Cultural Advisors to the Program. One of the priorities for funding put forward was to document
the stories of First Nations people along the Lachlan River, to ensure that the history and memory will not be lost with the
people who hold it.
This project will bring a collection of stories together from different families, individuals or groups
as a printed book – Connection to Kalari Bila (Lachlan River) from along the Lachlan River. The
book will include stories as well as photos, art or poems (that weaves a narrative in the story). The
book and voice or video recordings will be made available for all participants.
