Project Details

Description

The transport sector, particularly road transport, is a major contributor to air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia . Its decarbonisation must start if Indonesia is to achieve its climate targets. It will also eliminate several dangerous pollutants including particulate matter, nitrates and generate demand for domestically produced batteries. The project has three objectives which will facilitate the introduction of electric buses in Indonesia:

1. estimation of energy use of the initial fleet of electric bus routes
2. deploying the solar photovoltaic and Battery Energy Optimisation tool to compare the optimisation of each energy source and/or a combination of all sources
3. analysis of the terminal building's energy efficiency and thermal comfort for passengers
