Develop and pilot test a method of determining the distribution of reference river -types within the MDB, and the reference geomorphic character of the river types at the reach scale

The aim of this project is to develop and pilot test a method for determining reference at the Valley and Valley Zone scales. As there are no existing precedents for determining reference geomorphic diversity, composition, stablity and resilience (Parsons 2007), development of reference protocols for the SRA will require innovative approaches that balance against the practicalities of applying these paradigms in geoassessment.
