Evaluation of emerging challenges and burden associated with skin and soft tissue infections and exploration of innovative antimicrobial modalities

The initial phase of this doctoral research program will focus on an updated review on skin and soft tissue infections, this will be followed by 2 systematic reviews exploring the prevalence, risk factors and current & emerging challenging associated with managing SSTIs. This phase will also identify promising alternative antimicrobials reported in the literature and these will be pursued in preclinical studies.
