Description
Scoping study on Indigenous groundwater knowledge.
This is an offer of services for the Centre for Applied Water Science (CAWS) at the University of Canberra to undertake a research scoping study to explore and document the opportunities for National Geochemical Survey (NGS) within Geoscience Australia (GA) to collect and collate indigenous knowledge and cultural significance of groundwater in Australia. The scoping study will be undertaken by Associate Professor Bradley Moggridge providing expert advice and will examine sources of indigenous knowledge on groundwater and how this could be recorded, stored and disseminated in a culturally appropriate manner. The challenges inherent to the task will be documented and guidance on how to undertake such works in a respectful and appropriate manner provided to benefit both indigenous and non-indigenous Australians.
