‘Life-death-life’ Exploring the incidence and experience of death using restorative approaches at the University of Canberra Hospital

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

A standalone healthcare facility on UC Campus is the aspirational plan that is supported by this research. In this envisaged restorative healthcare institute, opportunities for translational research, innovation, teaching, and research would help to inform models of care to enable cultural safety to enable peaceful birthing and dying in a salutogenic environment. Gaining an understanding of the current practices, outcomes and experiences for patients, families, staff, and carers related to dying at UCH and across the ACT can inform the next stages of implementation of the life-death-life approach to developing models of restorative health care.
