The project takes advantage of existing ongoing research at UC and an alliance with the Wagiman aboriginal people to engage knowledge exchange, field research and monitoring of selected significant species of wildlife along the Daly River. The project aims to quantify the impact of cane toads on native predators and bush tucker; determine landscape use by the northern long-necked turtle (also bush tucker); set up a monitoring program for the pig-nosed turtle.
