Project Details

Description

The income will be used to support research into optimising muscle and tendon rehabilitation. Currently, there is no evidence-based approach to the progressive loading of tendon and muscle for common rehabilitation of tendons such as the Achilles tendon. Rehabilitation exercises are routinely prescribed by physiotherapists and medical practitioners based on considerable clinical experience. This research aims to systematically quantify a series of rehabilitation exercises that progressively overload the tendon and muscle tissue in the human calf muscle.
