New approaches to detect invasive freshwater fish using scent and environmental DNA

    Project: Other

    Project Details

    Description

The project aims to compare methods for detection of invasive fish, evaluating their accuracy at varying fish biomass densities, with different sample preservation methods, and in a range of environmental conditions. This research will provide significant new knowledge on application of detection methods. We will produce a robust and economic detection method, allowing end-users to increase the extent and frequency of biosecurity monitoring.
