Project Details
Description
This project aims to improve our capacity test methods and scenarios that allows to reconstruct historic population sizes using genomic data. Based on simulations, we aim to test the accuracy of currently available methods first under basic conditions, then under the more complex case of population structure commonly associated with species decline. The project findings will aid in the development of a genomics toolkit to allow for accurate, streamlined reconstructions of historic population size and be a very welcomed new way to approach the monitoring of endangered species.
