Description
This project aims to identify this changes in the structure and functioning of the Australian public sector in the recent reform period which have significantly altered relationships between state, market and civil society. The principle focus will be on new and innovative service-delivery arrangements, the many kinds of public-private mixes that are merging, and the increasing role of the not-for-profit sector. The conceptual contribution of the project will be to explain the major effect these innovations are having on views about the role of the sate in Australia.
