Reducing the impact of the deadly amphibian chytrid fungus on native frogs in the wild

The project aims to experimentally test whether installing salted satellite ponds adjacent to natural wetlands can create disease refugia with reduced chytrid levels. These refugia should lower the risk of infection and may enable chytrid-susceptible frogs to persist or recover in the face of the disease.
