Project Details
Description
Many organisations within Australia require reliable small area data about households to formulate and implement appropriate policies at the local level. This project will greatly improve the strategic planning and decision-support tools available to State and Territory governments, by providing them with detailed small area data about the characteristics of households in 2004; creating forecasting versions of this database, for assessing the likely socio-economic characteristics of these households in the future (out to 2025); and by providing the capacity to assess the likely implications for needs-based planning of government services of population ageing at the small area level '',
