Retail Investor Outcomes in Spot Crypto Markets

ASIC requires the supplier to conduct research into retail investor outcomes in spot crypto trading. This research aims to enhance ASIC’s understanding of how retail participation in crypto markets impacts consumer financial wellbeing (including outcomes for various sub-sets of consumers) and will broadly inform ASIC’s Digital Asset Strategy. The research aims to provide ASIC with a clearer picture of financial outcomes, behavioural drivers, and risks across retail investor groups. These insights will support regulatory decision-making and consumer protection in the evolving digital asset environment.
