Project Details
Description
The computer games industry has grown rapidly in Australia over the past few years. In 2002 the industry - which is made up of more than 40 companies - reported sales of A$825 million. Although this development has been ongoing for some 20 years, there remains little scholarly analysis of the games industry in Australia. Through interviews with key industry figures and archival research this project seeks to address this shortfall by collecting, documenting and analysing material about the past and present of the Australian Games industry and positing its imagined future.
