Description
Together with an interdisciplinary team of researchers from CSIRO and the Australian Museum, I discovered a new Miocene Lagerstätte (i.e., a fossil deposit that yields well-preserved specimen) near the township of Gulgong, NSW. Since its discovery in 2017, the new site (named McGrath’s Flat) has produced a wide range of extraordinarily preserved fossils:
