Project Details
Description
This project aims at presenting a show case of the Science and Innovation in Australia-Japan scientific partnership and strengthening the bilateral relationships
through a joint hybrid symposium gathering Australian early and mid-career researchers with their Japanese peers in areas of mutual scientific interest. It also aims at expansion of international networking with Japan through the Japan Society for promotion of science alumni association and building collaboration and connection between institutions. Engagement and public outreach to promote Australian expertise in Science in Japan, promoting awareness of the opportunities and benefits of scientific collaboration with Japan, promoting Australia as a priority partner for Japan in science and innovation and identifying and addressing common issues between Japanese and Australian scientific communities are among the proprieties of this proposal. The JSPSAAA symposium will rotate between Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne over three consecutive years with over 150 attendants building on previous success in organizing such conference at the Australian academy of science in 2017, University of Melbourne in 2018, University of Canberra in 2019 and ANSTO in 2021.
